An intimate film about the Palestinian-Israeli poet Taha Muhammad Ali (1931–2010), born in Saffuriyya in the Galilee, whose work fused the pain of his personal life into the collective memory of his people, making him one of the most important poets in the world. He did not write about the conflict directly, but about pain, suffering, and hope. Taha was a human and cultural enigma — a unique blend of Shakespeare and Beethoven with the traditions of Arabic poetry. His work has been translated into dozens of languages.
